Now is crunch time. Over 250 bikes preregistered and more coming in everyday. There are a few spots left for the Friday Grand Marshal lunch ride and even fewer for the Friday night GM Dinner. You can still register online for the lunch ride, the dinner and enter bike for the concours, if you move quickly.

The Concours show is still only $10. If you have one of our vouchers, 2 can enter for $10. Once again, the Chrome Divas m/c club will be working the front gate. If you can’t attend, we have set up a donation button on the website so you can still support the event. If you preregister and show a bike, there is no entry cost. Not a bad deal for the Pebble Beach of the East Coast.

We have more exhibitors and clubs than ever before. We also have been given permission to use the vacant Publix grocery store on Saturday for overflow parking of big rigs. Those that park there will be shuttled back and forth.

Thanks in advance for supporting our event. I must again mention and give thanks to all of our hard working volunteers, especially those I work closely with on our planning committee. Work for this 2 day event starts back in September. If we do our jobs, you will think it just happens on autopilot. Look for our 80 volunteers in the bright yellow shirts next Saturday. We’re on radio and tv this coming week. We need big crowds so we can raise big bucks for the Wounded Warrior Project.

For concours entrants, our people will help you park, get registered and make sure your bikes get to the right place. You will be given a ticket when you check in for your free gift. See you soon. Larry

Things have been very busy as we approach the event. Posters and shirts were finalized and printed before Bikeweek. I attended the AMCA event in New Smyrna and the Jerry Woods auction in Deland with our new merchandise. Sales were brisk and well received. We made many great contacts at the Amelia Island Concours as well. Car people like old bikes and bike people like great cars.

We are very happy to welcome back our veteran sponsors as well as a few new ones. All of 2012 merchandise will be available at the event or online.

As of today, we have well over 100 bikes registered for the concours. We have openings for many more. We also are seeing a steady flow of registrations for the Grand Marshal events on Friday. We expect both will sell out prior to the event.

We were not able to negotiate any special group rates with the main hotel or the condos. The hotel has some special events and did not felt it was not necessary to discount their rates. The condos represent a great alternative, especially for 2 couples to share. The Comfort Inn across the highway is another option. It too will be full prior to the event.

Check back here for the latest updates.

Hello to all and Happy Holidays. Hope you have had a great summer and fall. Now is the time when we might not be riding as much and be thinking about getting caught up on some of those projects in the garage. Of course, don’t dig into that project unless you have your Christmas shopping done!! We made an appearance at Barber and multi year supporter and volunteer Bill Jones won an award for his beautifully resurrected Guzzi V7 Sport. Also, a couple of our key organizers won bike awards up at the Hilton Head show. Congrats to Mr Singer, Mr Fogelberg and Mr Wells. We also plan to attend the upcoming Dania show on January 28th. All to best to you and yours.
